41 days!
I don't run to add days to my life, I run to add life to my days!
Tomorrow we will all embark on our fourty day journey to feeling happier, healthier and stronger! It is my hope that we will use this blog to hold each other accountable and encourage one another.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
I know how awful (mentally and physically) sugar is for my body, which is why I have chosen to resist the temptation for my challenge. Sugar decreases my energy level and ALWAYS leaves me unsatisfied!
"Scientists compare sugar addition to alcohol and nicotine addiction and the withdrawal to those going cold turkey on heroin. The symptoms last 2-5 days, after which the sugar should be out of your system and you shouldn't be craving it anymore."

What victory will you be celebrating fourty days from now? Please share!!!
If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you!
I am with you, Carissa! No sugar for me either, real or artificial.
ReplyDeleteAwesome....that makes three of us so far that are giving up sugar! Michelle is, too. We bought calendars for our fridge and we are going to put a smiley face each day we practice self-control...we are so cheesy!!
DeleteThanks for posting!
Ashley is having only one diet coke a day and following weight watchers for 40 days. Go, Ashley!
ReplyDeleteI don't know what to give up! I guess I'll go with No SWEETS for 40 days! I think when it comes to the day of the run, I'm going to put myself in a chocolate coma...since I have already been craving a chocolate bar since Saturday morning! But I suppose if Britney Spears can survive October 2007, I can survive 40 days without sweets!
ReplyDeleteLol :) I love you, Katie! Try a banana with almond or peanut butter...my go to for a sweet tooth. I also love protein shakes w a half of a frozen banana. Ymmm
